Biodiverse Environmental were engaged by Corwood QLD, as the preferred supplier of fauna surveys and fauna spotter catching services for vegetation works along the Wide Bay-Burnett Region. The work involved was primarily vegetation management, with large excavators fitted with purpose-built harvester and mulcher attachments being used to ensure trees could be safely lowered down in a controlled manner.
The fauna management services provided by Biodiverse Environmental included pre-clearance surveys and reports, and fauna spotter catching and relocation services. Fauna spotter catchers were also present for all vegetation clearing, inspecting any potential habitat features prior to and during clearing events. Any fauna impacted by the vegetation clearing and earthworks was relocated to nearby suitable habitat, outside of the clearing limits, in accordance with legislative and environmental management requirements.
