As part of a major gas infrastructure project, Biodiverse Environmental was engaged to undertake ecological surveys as part of the Environmental Authority (EA) for the project at various locations in central Queensland.
Our suitably qualified principal ecologist undertook desktop analysis of the regional ecosystem mapping, Prescribed Environmental Matters and other ecological values relevant to the sites. The sites where there was to be significant disturbance, were then surveyed via flora and fauna assessments, waterway investigations and through assessments determining the presence of weeds and pest animals within the sites.
As part of the engagement, Biodiverse Environmental also assisted with the fauna management requirements of the project, through the supply of fauna spotter catchers during vegetation clearing works.
