Vegetation Survey of Proposed Development Area

To assist town planners in assessing the viability of a parcel of land proposed for development, Biodiverse Environmental was engaged to undertake several vegetation surveys and provide advice on the ability to clear vegetation, without having major impacts on the stability of the land or the accompanying flora.

To begin with, all trees within the non-covenant area were surveyed, tagged and mapped for species identification and distribution patterns. Planning scheme overlays were then assessed in terms of native vegetation and landslip potential. All of this information was then combined to assess the viability of vegetation clearing within the site.

Native trees falling outside of the mapped council layers could potentially be cleared without a permit, notwithstanding any other council requirements.
